Pathology of DNA Replication

Jean-Charles CADORET

Genetic instability is a major characteristic of tumor cells and is associated with the process of carcinogenesis in humans. In many cases, such instability occurs during S-phase and is due to defects in DNA replication following replicative stress.

The team is pursuing three lines of research:

  • Project 1: Dynamics of the replisome; characterization of DNA polymerase pause sites during replication in the human genome, role of Pif1 Helicase and impact on genome stability.
  • Project 2: Impact of PARylation on replication control and genome stability
  • Project 3: Analysis of the temporal replication program and collaborations.

Keywords: DNA replication, Replicative stress, genomic stability
