Missions

Support and training mission in bioinformatics, cell culture, and functional genomic analyses, aimed at better understanding the interactions between transcription factors (TFs) and extracellular signaling pathways, particularly TGF-β and BMP.

Activities

  • Carry out cell cultures, including the differentiation of stem cells into spinal organoids
  • Develop user-friendly bioinformatics pipelines to analyze and compare protein recruitment profiles across the genome
  • Establish and optimize the ChIP-seq technique to analyze the recruitment of factors downstream of the TGF-β and BMP signaling pathways

Skills

  • Solid experience in cell culture, particularly in the differentiation of stem cells into organoids
  • Practical knowledge of molecular and cellular biology techniques, especially ChIP-seq
  • Bioinformatics skills, including the development of pipelines for genomic data analysis (protein recruitment profiles, sequence analysis, etc.)
  • Ability to make bioinformatics tools accessible and usable by non-specialists
  • Good understanding of cellular signaling pathways, particularly TGF-β and BMP
  • Autonomy, rigor, and strong organizational skills in conducting experiments and analyzing results
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment
  • Strong communication skills for effectively presenting results both orally (meetings, seminars) and in writing (reports, publications)
  • Proficiency in scientific English (reading, writing, speaking)

Work Context

The recruited candidate will work within the “Human Neurodevelopment and Disorders” team, led by Vanessa Ribes and Stéphane Nedelec, in collaboration with various members of the laboratory.

Constraints and risks

  • Work in a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory
  • Occasional on-call duties on weekends, depending on experimental needs
  • Extended screen time, particularly for bioinformatics data analysis
