The Institut Jacques Monod congratulates ‘Institut Jacques Monod on receiving his ERC Synergy Grant!
This project uses organoids and organoid-on-chip technologies to uncover the mechanisms underlying regionalization and layering in the developing human cortex — processes essential for the emergence of cortical function and disrupted in many incurable diseases. By understanding these fundamental mechanisms, we aim to develop the next generation of cortical organoid models that more accurately replicate human brain organization, helping to reveal the origins of neurological disorders.
