The Jacques Monod Institute seeks to recruit an exceptionally talented scientist to lead a new research group within its Program in Genomes and Epigenomes.
This call aims to attract candidates working in the broad fields of genome organization, structure and function, including but not limited to: bioinformatics; regulation of gene metabolism (transcription, replication, repair, recombination, silencing...); mechanistic and structure-function studies of fundamental molecular systems or assemblies; systems biology.
The Institut Jacques Monod, located in Paris, France is comprised of four research Programs (Genomes and Epigenomes; Cell Biology; Development and Neurobiology; Molecular and Cellular Pathology) and about thirty research groups, and is dedicated to the investigation of fundamental biological processes. It benefits from its recent reimplantation on the new campus of the University of Paris Diderot and a massive financial reinvestment in common equipment and top-notch core facilities including advanced optical microscopy and imaging ; electron microscopy; proteomics ; flow cytometry and animal facilities.
