January 2011: Group Leader Position in cell and developmental biology using C. elegans
The Institut Jacques Monod of Paris is seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated young scientist to run an independent research group working on cell and developmental biology using the nematode C. elegans as a model system.
The call is now closed. Numerous applications have been received from all over the world.
The successful candidate is expected to develop an innovative research project and to set up fruitful interactions within the Cell Biology and the Development and Neurobiology programs. Priority will be given to candidates who will reinforce already existing areas of research.
The Institut Jacques Monod is a leading French biological research institute, comprising 4 Research Programs (Cell Biology; Development and Neurobiology; Genomes and Epigenomes; Molecular and Cellular Pathology) and about 30 interactive research groups. The IJM provides access to excellent core facilities including state-of-the-art Imaging, Genomics and Proteomics platforms. The IJM is affiliated with the CNRS and the University Paris Diderot.
