July 2012: Giuseppe Baldacci has been named president of the national scientific Council of the national League against cancer and national administrator
Giuseppe Baldacci is the director of the Institut Jacques Monod
The national League against cancer is a non-profit association of the law of 1901 and is recognized of public utility. The first private financier in French research on cancer, the League rests on the generosity of the public and on the engagements of its militants.
Its 103 department Committees struggle in 3 complementary directions:
- research;
- information, prevention and promotion of detection;
- taking steps to help the patients and their relations.
Because of its perfectly coordinated missions, the League against cancer is the only independent actor of the French landscape struggling against cancer, to adopt a global approach of this disease.
